Ulverston to Coniston – 17.75 miles through rolling countryside and probably more than expected. Weather was warm if a bit overcast for 3/4 of the walk with the last 1/4 very wet until we reached the Yewdale Inn, our stop for the night. https://explore.osmaps.com/route/21430207/Cumbria-Way-Day-1-Ulverston-to-Coniston

The Lakes with Ken – March 2024

The run was excellent even if it did break both of us just a bit.. Following the run Ken and I had decided to do aContinue reading “The Lakes with Ken – March 2024”
Rhinog Faw and Rhinog Fach
In June 2023 I visited the Rhinogs with John and Martin following a ‘Route of a Lifetime’ suggestion by Trail Magazine. https://explore.osmaps.com/route/10379267/trail-magazine-walks-of-a-lifetime-the-rhinogs-snowdonia It’s only a small car parking area but it is quite remote and so we didn’t have any issue parking. Bit late writing this trip up but I do remember it was hotContinue reading “Rhinog Faw and Rhinog Fach”
