A lovely overnight stay at The Royal Oak with excellent staff and food. Initial walk up into the woods quite steep but lovely with some morning sunshine. Up to Skiddaw car park and then along the Valley. Real contrast in the views and conditions under foot but easier than yesterday. Path up to high peak difficult at times but once over the top much easier down hill all the way the Caldbeck with Phillip and Becca from Warrington for company. A well deserved beer or two with them at the pub!
