A tough tough day today with about 20 miles walked. Stake pass was stunning but hard work although the walk down the other side and through the valley on very tough paths was more challenging. Keswick just never got any closer and it was 7:45pm by the time we checked in at The Royal Oak. Room upgrade was wasted on us but really lovely and a great place to stay with amazing staff. A word of advice to anyone doing this route don’t stop in Elterwater! It’s just too far for day three.
