Day 2 was from the Boat House Inn where we stayed overnight to Cowes for night 2. Once we left Ryde we didn’t see the sea again until East Cowes so not much of a coastal route today.

It was a day of two halves from a route perspective with the first five miles being mostly on tree lined paths but the second half, from Fishbourne to Cowes was all on roads. Initially on country lanes but then on the main road from Whippingham to Cowes which wasn’t exactly scenic.
Cloudy with some light rain until almost lunch time but then became sunny and warm again and we enjoyed an end of day beer on a pub terrace in Cowes.
