A three day two night camp in the Berwyns with Paul (Temp), John (Everest) and Martin (Joan / Martan) which started in the village of Llandrillo Friday lunch time. A relatively easy walk of just over 3 miles took us to a lovely riverside location amongst some bracken for the night. There was an old sheep fold that afforded us the luxury of a fire which makes so much difference on a cold winters evening and we were up until about 9.30pm

Day 2 started as always with a cooked breakfast before making our way to Tan-Y-Pistyll which is the highest waterfall in England and Wales with a 73 meter drop in three stages, the longest being 40 meters.

Quite impressive and even better there is a cafe which served some great food and a hot drink, much needed on what had been quite a tough, overcast and chilly day.

We finished the day by walking the last few kilometres to Llyn Lluncaws. Unfortunately it started to rain as dark fell soon after 5pm and so we retreated to our tents but were then entertained by Temp reading a bit of Wooster and Jeeves followed by Everest reading a bit of ‘Sharpe’ All good fun but a very early night!

Day three started early after a cold, wet and windy night, although I was as snug as a bug in my sleeping bag. What a great tent my Nature Hike is! Wouldn’t swap it for anything.
