A short two night hike and wild camp on the South West Coast path and Exmoor. Apart from the challenge of camping far enough away from anyone and not in a farmers field it was actually very difficult to find anywhere flat enough for four of us to camp.
We started in Lynton and worked our way up the SWC path.

We eventually found a stop for the night on a track that led to a forest being harvested which was a bit narrow and uneven, however we all found a spot and the view across the sea spectacular!

Next day we started to track inland and along the valley. Passing a lovely river and a whole herd of Deer!

However, some of the route was a bit boggy and Temp managed to fall in so he decided to have a quick bath in a stream….. 🙂
That nights stop was an old sheep fold set up from the main path which was a great spot even though the night turned cold and there was quite a frost in the morning.

Next day we continued along the valley heading back to Lynton. Best moment of the day was coming across a National Trust cafe that did cream teas!
